We maintain a no call out charge policy for our emergency locksmith service. The call out is complimentary for the purpose of providing a quotation. However, if any work is conducted at the customer's request, such as lock repairs or uPVC door repairs, charges will be applicable. Please be aware that call outs after 6pm will necessitate a non-refundable card payment of £50, which will be collected as a deposit.
Our emergency locksmith service requires verification of property ownership before we can assist you in gaining entry to your home or business. To proceed, please provide a valid photo ID, such as a passport or driving license, along with a utility bill that clearly shows your name and address. Unfortunately, without proof of ownership or tenancy, our locksmith will be unable to access the property, even for essential lock repairs or uPVC door repairs.
Payment for our emergency locksmith service must be made upon completion of work, unless a prior agreement has been established with GB Locksmiths. This policy also applies to all lock repairs and uPVC door repairs.
GB Locksmiths provide a 12-month guarantee on all parts and labor from the date of completion, offering peace of mind for our emergency locksmith service. However, this guarantee becomes void if the work completed by GB Locksmiths is misused or if there is negligence by any other party. Additionally, the 12-month guarantee will be rendered void if our lock repairs or uPVC door repairs are modified, repaired, or tampered with by anyone other than a GB Locksmiths company engineer. The company will not accept liability for, or guarantee the suitability of materials supplied by the customer, nor will it be liable for any consequential damage or faults related to those customer-supplied materials.
Please note that all window parts, including those related to our emergency locksmith service, carry a guarantee of just 3 months from the date of fitting. This warranty covers necessary lock repairs as well as uPVC door repairs that may be required.
Ultion and high security cylinders come with a 12-month guarantee, after which customers should contact Ultion directly. To prevent issues that may require an emergency locksmith service, we recommend servicing your euro cylinders with Graphite powder lubricant every 4 months. This is especially important if you might need lock repairs or uPVC door repairs. Apply a small amount of powder to both the front and back of the keyway. Please avoid using oil-based lubricants like WD40, as this will void your guarantee.
We do not recommend that customers leave the key in the back of a lock. Inserting a key into the front of the lock while another key is already in the back can lead to damage to the cylinder. For these situations, our emergency locksmith service is available to assist with lock repairs and uPVC door repairs.
